Mullaney has signed for Bradford
Smith is back playing for Wakey
Hock has thrown in a transfer 1 year into his 4 year deal
Meli probably won't play for us again and there is doubts over Rapira, Puletua & Lee being with us next season. Morley will be Part time .
All in all a poor return on the Money ( and transfer fees) invested. so out of the 12 only S'au Tasi & the two Batley boys could be seen as half decent investments , Chase is still seen as an enigma, magical one game , annoymous the next.
Outside of Locke, recent signings have been ' ones for the future ' . but as far as I can see the revolving doors at the AJ Bell are still spinning.
I wouldn't write any rumour off , however far fetched .'"
Well, the doc might just have learnt not to go hunting big names. The sort of player we signed last year was good for keeping a team at the stop, but not to get a team to the top. We need hungry players like Josh Griffin, Walton, Tasi, Johnson and Walne, but we also need the mixture of experience and enthusiasm that Morley and Hansen bring.
Although I believe we need to bring some extra muscle into our pack, but there have been times where I've thought Hock wasn't chasing back hard enough. Far be it from to criticise him, but a younger/hungrier forward might have chased harder than I thought Hock was.
In summary, it seems the club now believe younger players might give us more effort for the doc's money.
